Chimney Scaffolding in Hull and East Yorkshire
Chimney repairs are one of the most common scaffolding jobs across East Yorkshire. Chimneys are exposed to the worst of the weather — frost, salt air on the coast, and constant thermal cycling — which means the mortar, flashing and pots deteriorate faster than the rest of the building. Baxter Scaffolding provides independent chimney scaffold that gives your repairer safe, proper access without scaffolding the whole house.

How chimney scaffolding works
An independent chimney scaffold is a self-supporting structure built around the chimney stack — it doesn't rely on the chimney itself and doesn't require scaffolding the whole roof. It typically takes two to three hours to erect and gives a roofer or bricklayer safe working space at the top of the stack.
Don't delay chimney repairs
A small mortar failure in a chimney joint lets water in. Water penetrating the stack leads to damp in the roof space, salt contamination of the bricks and, eventually, expensive structural failure. It's always cheaper to catch chimney problems early.
